WORLD ENERGY LABS 4210B ELECTROCHEMICAL BATTERY ANALYZER
The new Interrogator™ 4210B cuts the cost and risk of battery ownership by 20-40% by detecting low-performing and weak batteries in a single test. This is made possible by CEL-Scan™ Technology, found only in the Interrogator™.
CEL-Scan™ Technology ( C hemical, E lectrical, L ayer Scan) is a patented frequency response analysis technique that simultaneously measures the electrical and the chemical properties of batteries in terms of voltage, resistance/impedance, sulfation and dryout. Whereas electrical parameters (voltage, resistance/impedance) alone serve as a "battery death monitor", electrochemical measurements (voltage, resistance/impedance, sulfation and dryout) provide advanced, diagnostic information about battery performance capacity.
More diagnostic information means managers can make better decisions for higher reliability and lower costs. Users are ensured to spend the proper amount of money on testing, servicing and replacing batteries while still increasing battery reliability. No other battery analyzer can do this.
For example, when sulfation and/or dryout are the dominant degradation mechanisms for VRLA or Flooded lead-acid batteries, an Interrogator™ 4210B test can predict the outcome of a 3-hour load test in 30 seconds…with better than 93% correlation.
Specific Gravity measurements are not required because the Interrogator™ 4210B measures the state of Sulfation electronically and without the risk of acid contact. “With accelerating advances in battery power technology and the growing cost and risk of battery ownership, customers need a battery analyzer that reduces battery cost and improves battery power reliability”, said WEL's VP of Global Sales, Rod Cross . “The Interrogator™ 4210 product series does that today and tomorrow like no other analyzer can. The Interrogator™ 4210B replaces the previous 4210A model, which will no longer be available for purchase, but will continued to be supported. The 4210B measures lead-acid batteries as well as NiCd, Li-Ion and NiMH batteries.
WELSoft™ is the data management software companion for the Interrogator™ 4210B and provides semi-automated battery data storage, data analysis and report generation.
