BUSINESS NEWS - World Energy Labs signs distributor deal with PAMATEC

Dec 2004

World Energy Labs recently announced that it has signed an agreement with PAMATEC (Paris Manila Technology Corporation) to be the exclusive distributor of the Interrogator battery tester within the Philippines.

Sean Salloux, CEO of World Energy Labs said of the deal. "We visited PAMATEC recently in Manila and were impressed by their professionalism, expertise in the power area, and their enthusiasm concerning the Interrogator as a business opportunity. We see this as a strategic deal that introduces the Interrogator into the Far East and a stepping stone to even larger things".

The Interrogator battery tester is the first hand held programmable testing device that takes the practice of multi-frequency impedance spectroscopy out of the laboratory and into the hands of the maintenance technician. It provides simple to understand "Pass", "Warning" and "Fail" results as well as percentage levels of sulfation for all lead acid type cells, and dryout for electrolyte starved sealed VRLA type cells. The Interrogator is an expandable testing platform that can be easily updated through new software modules to enable it to test other parameters as well as other battery types and even other electrochemical systems. World Energy Labs is currenlty working on additional software modules for the detection of inter-cell connection resistance, grid corrosion, and float ripple current.

Philippe Saubier, COO of PAMATEC stated "We are very excited about the opportunity to distribute the Interrogator in the Phillipines. We have already identified several additional business opportunities surrounding the Interrogator in addition to simple distribution. These include leasing arrangements, training, and battery maintenance services to those organisations that do not have their own in-house capabilities".

PAMATEC is a Philippines based company established in 1988 and specializes in the field of suplying low, medium and high voltage equipment and services ranging from engineering to turn-key projects including maintenance and operations services.
