BUSINESS NEWS - WEL delivers Customized Interrogator for Railpower Hybrid Technologies

WEL has successfully finished initial customer trials and is delivering Interrogator 4210 ElectroChemical analyzers to Railpower Hybrid Technologies for monitoring the health of Railpower's batteries on their various hybrid locomotive products.
“Railpower has been very pleased with the results of both the regular Interrogator 4210 algorithms for sulfation and dryout as well as the customized algorithm designed specifically for Railpower” says Dell Crouch, Senior Battery Engineer for Railpower Hybrid Technologies.
Kurt Salloux , the CTO of WEL stated, “This customized Railpower algorithm is essentially a software and firmware modification that in principle can be added to any Interrogator 4210 unit. This is exiting as it shows the true modularity and flexibility of our hardware. By adding this functionality to the ElectroChemical battery analyzer, Railpower's maintenance crews and service engineers do not need to carry additional equipment.”
The Interrogator 4210 ElectroChemical battery analyzer has been developed to be a flexible battery analysis platform.
